Usually every year I go way out on the Halloween decorations.  This year I was not really into it.

I know, I know…. everyone who knows me, knows I love Halloween.  But  I was not that interested this year.   Maybe it was because I was focusing on my Autumn Bucket list.  Or maybe it was an off-year.

Not too many people got into it this year at work either.   We did not enter the contest this year.  But there is always next year.

But I did some decorations.

Every year I put my wreath on my door.  I bought this wreath years ago at a store called The Great Outdoors.  I love the old-fashioned ornament appeal to the wreath.

I also throw out a few pumpkins.  This time it was just a few on the porch.  Sometimes I do the huge light up ones, and the ones from Martha Stewart carved out images that I got from Grandin Road a long time ago.

But this time it was the simple pumpkins next to the mums.

I also threw on a few skeletons of  some long dead animals.  Not mine, I swear.

I love this vulture, he is so menacing.

I bought this raven last year on sale after Halloween at Target.  He “caws” when someone gets close and his eye are bright red lights.  He is kinda cool.

To keep him company, I have his buddy in a cage.  A little dead, but what can I say!

Last but not least.  I put out the Halloween Garden Flags.

I love these kind from Joann Fabrics.  They are super silky and are double sides.

Trick-or-treaters this year where good.  I had about 40 kids.

There were several cute costumes.   One family each had a Sport illustrated Magazine style poster behind them. and they each wore a different sport.  You can tell they put some effort into their outfits.

Several young girls had a like medieval robe with velvet and lace.  I am not sure which character they are.

There was a young girl who wore a unicorn outfit that match Olive.

Most of them were polite and had small batches of kids.  I really do not like huge groups as I cannot see the costumes very well.

One little boy was fascinated by my raven.  LOL

This Hallmark movie was the best one yet!  Of course anything with Cameron Mathison is going to be a good movie.  He use to be in my favorite soap opera ALL MY CHILDREN so he is golden to me.  LOL

Amy has spent most of her adult life “helicoptering” around her daughter, Cara especially since her husband died six years earlier. With reluctance, Amy is helping Cara head off to college in another city. She then “conveniently” lands a job at Cara’s college, much to Cara’s dismay. When Amy meets Noah, a charismatic, well-traveled professor, she learns more about herself and discovers a new life of her own, filled with romance.

This one gets 5 pumpkins as I liked the story, I liked the characters and of course Cameron Mathison.

Every Holiday I usually make something for the co-workers.

I really liked the little bunny box I made from them on Easter, so I thought I would do another box but using the new Bar Add on from Lawn Fawn.

The wings had to be in glitter.   I was not sure what candy would fit into the box but was pleased to see the Lindt Lindor candies fit just fine.

A little Glossy Accents in the eyes make it all the more spooky.

In two colors of grey they each look great.

My co-workers loved the bats.

As you can tell, the co-workers are very happy with the bat boxes

So I was watching one of my favorite you tubers and she went to Starbucks to get the Limited Edition Witches Brew drink

I always seem to forget there are special limited edition drinks everywhere, so watching the video prompted me to rush out and get one.

Ohhhhh does it look spooky!!!!

So here it is in all it purple glory

Congealed purple and eye of newt (chia seeds) or warts or dragon scales,

Whatever it is just tastes like an orange cream drink.

Not sure it was worth it, but it did get me into the spirit.

Ok, originally I wanted to make a dinner from one of my Autumn Gooseberry Patch cookbooks, but then I go strolling thru Pinterest and you can guess what happened.

That’s right, I found another recipe.

What can be easier than throwing everything onto a baking sheet.

I have just rediscovered Brussel sprouts.   i had them at a restaurant that was done with balsamic vinegar and I met heaven in my mouth.

Mine, not so much, but I am sure there will be opportunities in the future.

Maybe a little over done on the outside but the chicken.

I forgot to set the timer.

Stupid me.

When I smelled the chicken I realized my error.  However under the crispy skin was a nicely cooked chicken.

Everything was yummy.

I have a lot of things pending to post, but not quite done.

But I did watch another Hallmark Movie!

This time it was UNDER THE AUTUMN MOON

While visiting a dude ranch that is a potential acquisition for the outdoor adventure company she works for, Alex, an eager candidate for a big promotion, discovers what matters most when she reignites her passion for the great outdoors; and becomes smitten with the ranch’s owner in the process.

I enjoyed this movie, not sure if it was the ranch, or the cute couple.   Not too thrilled about the big executive quest as the female character is a sweet, gentle soul who loves horses and of course the ranch.  Lindy Booth is so cute you just want her as your best friend.  And Wes Brown is not too bad to look at.

But I always enjoy “saving the ranch” at the end of any movie.

Since I liked this movie, I will give it a 4 pumpkin rating.

I could definitely watch it next year.

Trying to catch up on my Hallmark Movies.

This one is called Falling for You.

Well they all cannot be my favorites!

OK, this was an easy one.

Not only do I have wallflower plugs galore, I am also always buying new scents.

So this was an easy peasy task on my list.

I decided to use the Autumn Lantern plug.  I love the autumn scene and the little New England Village.

Especially lit up at night.  Oh so pretty.

I decided to pair it with the scent called AUTUMN

AUTUMN fragrance notes are:  Bright Red Gala Apple, Juicy Fig, Eucalyptus Leaf, Fir Balsam

Could anything be more perfect for an Autumn scent??

My kitchen walls are a dark fuchsia, so forgive the picture against my wall.

One more item checked off the list.

Well I certainly did not think finding any Mums for my front door would be such an ordeal.    I went to my local nursery and they were in 3″ pots and looked sad and miserable.

I found HUGE ones at Smart and Final but there were no blooms on the plant.  I really know nothing about plants, especially Mums.    I was afraid if I spent $18 bucks on that huge plant and then discovered they never bloomed I would feel stupid.

Was it really that hard to find a plant.

I guess so.

I decided to check out my local Wal-Mart’s garden center and lo and behold.  $5.oo buckets of mums.

Were they they best out there….no,  but they were bright and sunny.

At Michael’s Crafts I found these cute olive buckets and thought it would make the plants look better than the regular old pot.

I like how they look.   Very pretty and not a huge investment of money.

Please remind me to water them.

It was Hallmark movie watching time!   Nothing like watching a sappy romance movie, and the Hallmark Channel masters that genre.

This movie was the third installment of a very popular couple.

Since I did not watch the original two movies, I had to go back and watch the first two to get grounded on the premise and characters.

I have to admit I liked the first two movies better.

This movie, was cute but I did not like the “cousin” showing up out of the blue and wanting a share of the property.   The cousin wasn’t mean per se, but she was an irritant in the happily ever after.  I think I would have liked another story line regarding the property and finding a happier solution.  However I like the characters as they are cute together and loveable.

Synopsis:  Jenny and Brian’s wedding plans are interrupted when Meg arrives, claiming she’s also an heir to their inn. Now they must focus on raising the money to buy Meg out, and Brian considers returning to Wall Street, until Bucks County has a fundraiser. Still, they’re short on the funds they need, and an interested buyer shows up who intends to rebuild the aging structure rather than tenderly repair it like Jenny and Brian always have. For now, though, focusing on marrying is all that matters to these loving innkeepers, who hope their happy-ever-after can be spent creating more romance in Emily’s Inn.

I have to give it a 3 pumpkin rating (really a strong 3+) but not quite a 4

I do hope they come out with another installment as I really liked the couple.
