I lived thru the 1980’s and really did not care for it.   It was an awkward time period for me.   I turned 20 in 1980 and tried to fit in someway, somehow.   LOL,  Still struggling with that.

I do remember that my girlfriend had a ski jacket with a rainbow on it.   OH how I wanted that jacket.   Never did get it   Such jealously!!!!  So in honor of that memory and rainbows everywhere, here is my card.

I wanted to make a shaker card with rainbow sequins and I thought the new Glasses Die would be about to do that.

Papertrey had these awesome journaling cards and they actually had one with a rainbow in it.  Pretty awesome!   Rainbow Power!!!!

I love the ads in the 1960’s   Never has ads ever been so clear about what society was at that time.  The sexism of the races, the embracing of the space age, the use of symbols and the use of colors.

But what I remember was my Grandmothers cocktail glasses.  She had these glasses in her china cabinet that held a fastination with us kids.  The glass had a woman in a wedding dress and when you added something cold to the glass, her wedding dress would disappear and she would be wearing sexy undergarments.   LOL.  As kids were thought that was cool.   It was sooooo 1960’s.  My Mother also had cocktail glasses, clear or frosted glasses with gold space age designs in the glass.  How cool was that.  I tried to recreate the glass in this card, with the gold symbols in some velumn.

I love the 1940’s   I have my grandmothers quilt from that time period, made with the worn out clothes of family members.  I have a ton of fabrics with 1930-1940 fabrics.  I love this time period.  Not sure I would want to be a woman in the work force at that time period!   LOL

Ok Betsy, you are far more talented in making flower stems than I could ever hope to be.

Ok, I will be honest.  I was so excited about this era.  Since I watch Downton Abbey I knew I would dig this era.  Well I LOVE what Heather did.  Did not like mine!

I was going for this elegant silver against dark velvet blue.  Well it just looked horrible.  But it is what it is.   LOL  Enjoy
