I think I forgot to add this onto the blog.   I posted to Instagram but forgot to post here.

I found this cute little cover from a catalog called Lakeside Collection.

Here is my bed.  It threw a pumpkin decorative pillow on to make it complete.

It is a thin cover but surprising that the print is on both sides and came with the two pillow shams.  A great deal for $35 bucks for a King-Sized item.  The pattern is so cute.  I think it was worth it.

It has been cold here.  Which is a bit surprising since we are in the middle of wildfires.

In fact it rained last night.  I was so excited to hear the rain, a true surprise.

The cold inspired me to jump into bed, pull up the quilts, blankets, pillow and dogs.

I grabbed a book I just started that felt like autumn.

Penny loves to get on the bed with me.   She loves sleeping next to me as she may get a belly rub.

However I do not think she likes my book of choice as there is no pictures of dogs on the cover

Olive decided to sleep on my book.

Makes it a tad bit hard to read.

I picked up this book because it had an autumn cover.

Getting this book had no correlation of the name Penny on the book and my dog.   Just a coincidence.

Of course Olive got in the mood and started to snore and roll onto her back.

Glad she can sleep anywhere.

I think it is time to curl up under the covers with the fur kids.

I watched this video on making little dog scarfs.  I was excited to see something for a small dog.  Most patterns out there were for large dogs, and this pattern was great for Penny and Olive, but she also gave instructions on how to make it larger just on case.

I found some cute yarn at Michael’s Craft Store in Pantene color palettes which intrigued me.   It was enough yarn to make several but I figured the pooched only needed one.

It was quick and easy to make.

I got some props to make it look more autumn.   Since I live in Southern California there is rarely any Autumn scenes naturally.  Work with what you have.

Penny was up first and she has no patience for Mom’s silliness.  Fortunately Penny does follow commands and actually sat there when I told her to.

I know my dog, and I read in her eyes “What did I do wrong Mom”

Nothing Baby….. you are a good girl.

I wish I could be over there, by the grass and look for squirrels.

So these pics are a tad bit late on the Autumn Bucket list.   I kept forgetting to get those pictures taken.  And being I am trying to pack up the remains of Halloween, right on the heels of packing up the Thanksgiving stuff.  Geez and I slow or what.  Does anyone else have this issue???

I quickly took some pics and called it a day.

This year I was more into Autumn instead of Halloween.  So I was very minimal on the decorating.

I did put out my classic stacked pumpkin ceramic.  I have to admit Michaels knocked it out of the park with this one.  It was inexpensive and so darn cute.

This one goes on the back of my griddle on the stove.   Looks all nice lit up at night.

I do have a new addition, it is the Witches Brew spoon rest.

I got it at Home Goods where wonderful things wait for me to buy them.

I put my  pumpkin salt and pepper shaker out but I dropped something on the little leaf that it sits on.  Need to pull out the crazy glue and fix it.  At least it was a clean break.

I always put own towels on the stove door because it really makes the decoration.

Not to mention also on the door of the dishwasher.

Why not.

And finally the single pumpkin on the counter top.

Not a lot this year, but it was enough to set the mood.

Sometime ago I saw this gingham pumpkin on Pinterest.

I thought, geez I can make this.

Normally I only like Orange or White pumpkins, but this just called to me.

Originally I wanted to do the pumpkin in gray, but could not find two colors I liked, so I went with blue and navy.

I did not realize how hard it is to paint a straight line on a curvy pumpkin.

Ugh this is not going well.

OK it is looking a little bit more like a gingham pumpkin.

A little messy here and there.

There is she is, on the front porch with the classics.   Thank you gingham pumpkin for not being too much a problem.

However my pumpkin tends to look like the Bath & Body works logo.  Hmmmm wonder why!

You would think this would be an easy one….

Guess again…

I could not find a time where I could get the coffee and not be up all night.  So I knew it had to be during my day off so I could get it somewhat near the early part of the day.

So being Saturday I thought I would take the dogs to the park.   I was a little frustrated because where ever I went in the park, some man and his dog was in the eye sight of my unruly barky pups.

Where ever I go, there they are.

So I took the pups with me to Starbucks.

When I came home the neighbors were standing in the street….ummmmm, can you move so I can get in my driveway.

Finally maneuvered my car around the “nice” neighbors and started to get out the car.  But since people were there talking, again in the middle the street, my Little Olive went wacko, she started to twist and twirl and jump and panic and what does she do…..yes you guess it.  She knocked the damn coffee over.

I grabbed it quickly and only lost about an inch of the coffee, but I was frustrated.   I got the dogs into the house quickly and came back to get my coffee and purse from the car.   Only then did my neighbors move out of the street.

Big Sigh.  Then I saw it!

The jumpy house.

Oh lordy, they are having a party.  I need to go into the house, relax and drink my coffee.  What is left in the cup.  After the photo shoot.

Having the Cranberry Bliss Bar helped with the stress.

I also dropped some Pumpkin Pie Smash Mallows into my drink

Please note the 1′”of missing coffee.  Big Sigh!   At least there was room for the Smash Mallows.

By the way, they were yummy.

I got mine at Target, but I understand you can buy these are Amazon and other places.  They say Sam’s Club but I have never seen them there.

I do want to try their other seasonal flavors for Christmas.  Sugar Cookie and Hot Cocoa sound good.  Not a huge fan of peppermint but who knows.

When I added this to the bucket list, I was not thinking of warm, wonderful homemade chili because

a) I don’t have a good recipe (except my moms rainy day chili which takes hours)

b) I live alone so it is a lot of work for something i will eat once or twice

c) and basically I am lazy….HA!

I added it to the list just to make something warm and hot on a cold evening

So I make chili the easy way.

Some time ago I found at Wal-Mart a box that makes chili

This easy peasy box makes it quick.  Throw some meat in a pot and then add the canned beans, tomatoes, sauce and some spices.

Didn’t I say easy peasy

I usually end up throwing on some cheese or sour cream to finish it off.

All is good and yummy.

Got to the last of the Hallmark movies.  Yeah!

To be honest, I have been watching Hallmark Christmas movies all weekend.

That is,  watching movies instead of doing chores around the house.  Will I ever get those dishes done????

This one is a continuing story of The Good Witch series.

I did catch a couple of the older ones so I was well grounded on where the characters are in the story line.

Cassie’s precious family heirloom – a beautiful red ruby known as The Heart of Middleton – goes missing from the History of Halloween in Middleton museum exhibit. Without its Heart, the town of Middleton starts to doubt their Halloween spirit just in time for their annual festival competition with Blairsville. Complicating matters, Martha feels unappreciated and defects to Blairsville, giving new mayor Abigail Pershing a run for her money. It all culminates at an anniversary black tie Halloween gala at the museum honoring the lore of the Heart of Middleton, where the Merriwicks help to re-inspire their fellow Middletonians.

I have not always enjoyed the Good Witch, guess it depends on the story.

I did enjoy this one, especially the dilemma of the former mayor Martha.

It was a good story line and she always saves the day in her subtle magic.

I will give it a 4 pumpkin rating.

Wow!  I had a hard time finding a book that had an Autumn theme.

I even checked Pinterest on lists of Autumn of Fall must reads.

Most were not my cup of tea.

Finally I found this book on Amazon.

This book felt like a Hallmark movie in the making, I can almost see the characters.

It was cute, held my interest and found the characters likeable.  There even was a pumpkin incident and lots of fall leaves to make me happy.

This Hallmark movie was the best one yet!  Of course anything with Cameron Mathison is going to be a good movie.  He use to be in my favorite soap opera ALL MY CHILDREN so he is golden to me.  LOL

Amy has spent most of her adult life “helicoptering” around her daughter, Cara especially since her husband died six years earlier. With reluctance, Amy is helping Cara head off to college in another city. She then “conveniently” lands a job at Cara’s college, much to Cara’s dismay. When Amy meets Noah, a charismatic, well-traveled professor, she learns more about herself and discovers a new life of her own, filled with romance.

This one gets 5 pumpkins as I liked the story, I liked the characters and of course Cameron Mathison.
